Up and coming star forward Jonathan Marchessault has signed a 5 year deal worth $30 million to stay in Vegas. He was taken in the expansion draft by the Golden Knights with high expectations and he’s delivered. He has 15 goals and 22 assists in 35 games for the surprisingly first place Las Vegas Golden Knights.
An ownership group based in Seattle has been authorized to file an application fir expansion. The team would begin play in the 2020-21 season and would cost $650 million. It would become the 32nd NHL franchise. The ownership group includes hollywood producer, Jerry Bruckheimer and David Bonderman, a private equity CEO.
