An ownership group based in Seattle has been authorized to file an application fir expansion. The team would begin play in the 2020-21 season and would cost $650 million. It would become the 32nd NHL franchise. The ownership group includes hollywood producer, Jerry Bruckheimer and David Bonderman, a private equity CEO.

  1. I think a Seattle team could create a great US-Canada rivalry with the Canucks but someone in the Pacific division will have to move to the Central. Do you think one of the Alberta teams would go? Who would have ever thought the NHL would have an abundance of West coast teams.
