Budenholzer Lands In Milwaukee

Mike Budenholzer gets the vacant head coaching for the Milwaukee Bucks. He won the coach of the year a few years back with the Atlanta Hawks

New York Gaints New Head Coach

The New York Giants have signed the Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator, Pat Shurmur to become their new head coach. He’s done a great job with journeyman quarterback Case Keenum this season and its paid off in a big way with a head coaching gig in the big apple (well technically New Jersey but work with me here). He’ll officially sign after the Vikings season is over.

Alabama vs. Georgia

WOW what a great championship game between the two SEC foes. Georgia was feeling great about themselves leading 13-0 and making Alabama’s offense look like the worst in the nation. Nick Saban agreed by benching starting quarterback Jalen Hurts for true freshman Toa Tagovailoa from Hawaii. That switch and a different defensive plan helped   the tide comeback and eventually tying the game at 20 late in the fourth. As time was running out in the game, Alabama tried a game winning field goal but missed wide left which led to overtime. Georgia possessed the ball first in OT and came away with only a field goal. The young freshman QB for Alabama threw a strike for a game winning touchdown to counter to win 26-23 and the rest is history.

Highlights Below

Bears’ New Coach

The Chicago Bears have named Matt Nagy as their new head coach. He was the Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator most recently and has worked with Andy Reid for the last 10 years in a variety of positions. The Bears thought is that he can come in a help quarterback Mitch Trubisky really advance his game to the next level.

Solarte Traded

The San Diego Padres have traded fan favorite third baseman Yangervis Solarte to the Toronto Blue Jays for outfield prospect Edward Olivaris. As a Padres fan this sucks because he was a leader with a positive attitude and always hustled on the field. Looks like Chase Headley will claim third base now.

Tiger Woods Back In Action

Another attempted comeback for the former #1 golfer in the world is in the works. He will participate in the Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego, coming up January 25-28. Woods is coming off four back surgeries dating back to 2014 and the most recent in April 2017. Woods last competed in the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas the first week of last December and finished tied for ninth place out of eighteen total golfers. Woods is very familiar with the Torrey Pines golf course in San Diego, winning it a record seven times. He has a total of fourteen majors and hasn’t won one since 2008 at Torrey Pines.
